G|EMSI (or Google EMSI) is the new club at EMSI that I founded, after becoming a Google ambassador,
to get all students passionate about Google products to help organize and hold events in the university, and even national events in the future.

It also went from a club to an official GTUG, with "EMSI GTUG" as a name for it!

Here's what a GTUG means:
Google Technology User Groups (GTUGs) are user groups for people who are interested in Google's developer technology; everything from the Android and App Engine platforms, to product APIs like the YouTube API and the Google Calendar API, to initiatives like OpenSocial. Check out for the full list of offerings.
A GTUG can take many forms — from just a few people getting together to watch our latest video, to large gatherings with demos and lectures, to events like code sprints and hackathons.

Now it's officially listed as a chapter right here. And that makes me a GTUG Manager ^^

this is a quick teaser I made at the start of G|EMSI

I launched a recruitment campaign at the beginning of school year, and I got interested students who wanted to join the team. It was very tough choosing among them... Finally I've chosen about 12 students, from 2 locations of EMSI in Casablanca (Centre & Maârif) to join the club and start preparing for the first event: "Google World - EMSI"

A successful tech-talks event, we may say, and first of its kind in EMSI school!
Especially that lots of students were in need of such an event!

Transport was made available for attendees of both EMSI Centre and Maârif to EMSI Les Orangers. There was some visits from some of the university's directors and some entrepreneurs who interacted with each other and with the speakers.. We started projecting a video from Sebastian (Googler) who did a short introduction to the students of EMSI.

The second and most successful national event is: "The Google+ Way"

I may honestly say that this was an AMAZING event, organised with the help of the 2 other awesome Casablanca GSAs from HassanII University and volunteers from the G|EMSI club.

Organisers of the Google+ Way event

We managed to get Samsung, J'adore les Cupcakes, ENSEM and many other sponsors, as well as some media sponsors like In addition to some volunteers from the EMSI GTUG and Club INFO - ENSEM.

The feedback we received was really encouraging!

The GTUG is now a GDG, with a wider scope letting it have a global name as: Casablanca GDG, I also chose another active person that I personnally trust, Sghiouar Abdelfettah, to become the administrator, as I won't have much time anymore to handle it :)

Here's the website: and my contact mail:
